A Look at Nigeria"s Beach Resorts

Having looked at the beaches, I decided to take a look at the finest beach resorts in Nigeria.
The world over, resorts are used to heal, relax and entertain. However, having recreational activities is an icing on the cake.  So join me as I look at Nigeria's  beach resorts.

  • La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort

A  tranquil paradise at  ibeju-lekki, Lagos. Mixes an accessible mangrove forest,  an extensive sandy beach and a lake with world class accommodation in African décor.
Offers :Spa treatments, massage therapy, fully equipped gym.
Activities:hiking, hunting, horse riding, canoeing, ocean water fishing, aqua aerobics, beach volleyball and also Cultural dance displays for guests. The watchword here is they keep it Nigerian, nice place.
  • Casa Ilashe Beach Resort

  • This tranquil oasis located at the alluring island of  Ilashe ,Lagos,  can only be accessed by boat. The newly renovated resort, also serves as a beach club designed for a perfect getaway from the frenetic city life. Casa Ilashe is not open for all, getting there is striclkly by reservation, this sure helps to keep the resort unspoiled.
Suite comes fully furnished with kitchenettes, a common bar, dining and an open lounge area, satellite television facilities, Wifi and a landline.
Other facilities include jet skis, quad bikes and a volleyball court. Perfect for private parties, beach weddings and corporate retreats. Lovely place.

    La Manga Luxury Beach Resort

A  luxurious little piece of paradise nested along the unspoiled Atlantic Ocean also on the alluring Island of Ilashe, Lagos. Can only be accessed by boat.
A magnificent surroundings with Luxurious villas Each villa has lavished suite with rooftop Jacuzzi hhmm, private lounge, swimming pool, massage room, beachfront living room, furnished kitchen, bar and poolside barbeque grill area. Facilities include open-air gazebo, mini-golf course, beach volleyball court, and quad bikes. Water sport activities such as jet ski and boat cruise only upon request. Nice place but pricey.
    Abraka Beach ResortS
Thumbs up to whoever came up with the idea of Abraka beach resort, on the bank of River Ethiope, in Delta state. A crystal clear natural flowing spring surrounded by rich tropical rainforest, yes thats what it is.Nothing like swimming and boating in a crystal clear spring water.
Offers accommodation, conferencing and sports recreational facilities for outdoor activities like canoeing, fishing ,barbecue, picnicking etc. Lots of resort in abraka but this one stands out.The road to this particular resort is untarred it is the place to be

Eko Tourist Resort Beach, Lagos State
Should be the biggest resort. Has loads of chalets, a large conference hall with more than a kilometer of clean, quiet and beautiful beach that still has loads coconut trees. I must say the resort needs to make good use of its large expanse of land. I wonder why they don’t have at least mini golf course, swimming pool etc, this leaves visitors with nothing to do except take pictures and try swimming at the roaring atlantic .

  • Kamp Ikare Beach Resort

  • Combines the rustic environment around it with modern facilities creating a simple, no fuss environment for your relaxation. Located at ojo and accessible only by boat. The resort has main communal beach house with 6 duplex cabins positioned around a swimming pool .
With kitchen facility for catering or self-catered. Good for a romantic getaway, vacation or celebration
    .

    Whispering Palms Beach & Resort.

More like a conference resort centre in a rural area of Iworo, Badagry Lagos .It lies on the lagoon and typifies the beauty of the areas cool Atlantic breeze, silica sands, palm trees and chirping birds.
Offers recreational and relaxation  facilities like football pitch, fitness centre, massage room, lawn tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, table tennis, mini golf course, swimming pool, pedal boats and a mini museum with relics of the inglorious history of slave trade.
There is room for improvement , however their Yoruba water goddess at the waterfront, kills it for me.

  • Hermitage Beach Resort

Might not be grand but has a soothing environment and price to me makes sense, luminous beach front and chalets are not bad.
Has a swimming pool, tennis court, restaurant  plus water sports facilities such as beach football, boating and  fishing etc.

I will have to stop here . Hope you have fun going through the beach resorts.

    Regards Everyone
