TOP 10 ATTRACTIONS IN NIGERIA



Nigeria is blessed with so many natural and breathtaking sights. From wildlife, awesome waterfalls, beautiful hills, plateaus, culture  etc.It really is not easy to come up with top 10. However, below are the top 10 attractions you want to visit in Nigeria.



1.OBUDU MOUNTAIN RESORT


Get on Africa’s longest cable car system to the mountainside resort, 1576 metres above sea level often in the clouds. A tranquil wonder of nature situated in obudu Cross-River state, with golf course, floodlit tennis courts, squash court, fully equipped gym and natural swimming pool.   3. YANKARI GAME RESERVE
The most developed wildlife park in Nigeria, about 225km east of Jos and 117km of Bauchi. The 2,244 sq km park holds the most remnant of wildlife in Nigeria with over 50 species of mammal. Home to the highest population of Elephants in West Africa (about 550) and African’s finest; Lions, Leopard, Baboon, Pat-as and Tantalus Monkey, Crocodiles, Buffalo, Hippopotamus, Bush-buck etc.
          Other attractions; hills, caves, wikki natural spring, museum of wildlife  trophies.
Offers: safari, camping facilities and accommodation.

4.GASHAKA- GUMTI NATIONAL PARK

Nigeria’s largest national park is situated in Taraba and Adamawa States.
 A trilling mix of mountains(the country’s highest mountain sitting at 2,400 meters above sea level) rainforest, savannah and animals, like the world’s largest antelope, the rare Adamawa mountain reed-buck, Giant forest hog, leopards, Golden cat, Chimpanzees, Buffalo, Lions, Elephants, Wild dogs, Monkeys, Baboon, warthog, oribi and klipspringer.
Its largest unspoilt rivers contain hippos, crocodiles and otter. With over 500 bird species,
surely one of the continent's best kept secrets.


5..LA CAMPAGNE TROPICANA BEACH RESORT.

Home to some rare endangered primates like, Cross River gorilla, chimpanzees, drill monkeys and one of the largest migratory swallow roosts in Africa.





  8. IDANRE HILLS
 
A cluster of hills that surrounds and sort of envelops Idanre town,close to Akure, Ondo state giving a breath taking landscape. Adventure and mystery lovers might want to climb 650steps with 5 resting points to the top of the tallest hill which is 300ft above sea-level.
The ‘Omi Opaara,’ a stream on one of the hills and Arun River a small crystal clear river on one of the hills, would definitely thrill any visitor..




 9.AGBOKIM WATERFALLS

On the part of Cross River close to the Nigeria-Cameron Border ,where it   descends in terraces in seven faces through the tropical rainforest.
 The fall is surrounded by lush greenery, valleys and steep hills which are enveloped in a rainbow-like aura. Its freshness is captivating and has an alluring serenity

 10    .OLUMIRIN WATERFALLS

 
A natural sauna, in Erin Ijesha, Osun State. The cascading waterfall amidst the soaring mountains, gives a blend of wildlife with tranquility. With seven levels, each with different views. A torturous climb to the peak at the seventh level for an invigorating freshness of the falls, is an unforgettable experience.
